We live in an age of frenetic energy and the pursuit of peak performance in every aspect of our lives, so much so that we often feel the need to "caffeinize" ourselves to maximize our daily performance. As a result, we often arrive at our workouts feeling debilitated or sluggish, even though an extra boost is often welcome. This is why all the pre-workout supplements containing stimulants (more or less legal depending on the country of origin) have become so popular, that for many, feeling the adrenaline rush is more important than the actual efficacy, quality of the ingredients, and the formulation. In my ongoing conversations with professional athletes, both in bodybuilding and combat sports, the need to achieve maximum performance, to perceive work and muscle contraction with the best focus on training, especially during the most challenging moments of preparation, but without excessive effects on the heart rate, anxiety, and sleep disturbances, always emerges.

Based on 65% glycerol and 35% silicon, it is significantly more stable and water-dispersible than the previous monostearate version. When it comes to maximizing performance, a common ingredient in pre-workout drinks is beta-alanine, a dipeptide composed of the two amino acids L-histidine and beta-alanine, which are synthesized by the enzyme carnosine synthase. It is then stored in skeletal muscle to be released by the enzyme carnosinase when needed. This well-known phytotherapeutic extract was brought to prominence as an adaptogen by Russian researchers who highlighted its ability to increase resistance to specific chemical and biological agents in the body, resulting in increased physical endurance and a sense of well-being. Rhodiola's adaptogenic properties have been attributed specifically to two of its active ingredients, paratyrosol and salidroside. These influence the levels of certain mediators in the brain and peripheral, cardiovascular, and respiratory tissues, and reduce the secretion of catabolic hormones such as cortisol. Among the most pharmacologically active compounds are rosavin and phenols. The choice to use robiola in our new product is justified by scientific evidence regarding the mechanism of action of its active ingredients. It has been demonstrated that rosavin, by activating an enzyme called adenylate cyclase in fat cells, promotes the release of fatty acids from the blood. Mobilization of these proteins increases the energy substrate for ATP production, which is then available for muscle needs. This results in improved physical performance and increased resistance to fatigue. Furthermore, Rhodiola boasts the ability to reduce the onset of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) after intense exercise, thus facilitating post-workout muscle recovery. The product contains substances classified as "hygroscopic" (such as glycerol). This means they absorb moisture from the surrounding environment, and as a result, the powder may clump together into blocks or lumps. This is perfectly normal and expected behavior for some of these ingredients and does not mean the product is damaged, as the clumps do not affect the product's effectiveness. Simply grind them and use as normal. To slow down the hygroscopic effect, it is important to store the product in a cool, dry place, away from humidity (not in the refrigerator). NEVER use a wet spoon to remove the product from its packaging.
